What we aim for

We aim for this site to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. WCAG is the international standard for making websites usable by disabled people.

How well the site meets it

The site partly meets WCAG 2.2 level AA. The problems we know about are listed below. We are working through them and will update this page as each one is fixed.

Known problems

  • Most pages have no link to skip straight to the main content, and do not mark where the main content starts.
  • When the full-screen menu is open, keyboard focus can move to the page behind it.
  • On a first visit, an opening screen appears before the page, even when your device is set to reduce motion, and the page behind it can still take keyboard focus.
  • Some background videos play on a loop with no pause button.
  • On the main contact form, screen readers are not told which fields are required.
  • The cookie banner comes last when you move through a page with the keyboard, and on a phone it covers part of the screen until you choose.
  • On some pages, the heading levels skip a step.
  • Some small grey labels, such as those on the client tiles, do not stand out enough from their background.
  • Some text can be cut off if you increase the spacing between letters and lines.

How we checked

In October 2026 we checked a sample of pages, including the home page, the contact page, the projects pages and our main advert page. We used automated tests and moved through the pages with a keyboard alone, at desktop and phone screen sizes. We have not yet tested the site with a screen reader.
