We decorate sites that stay open.

A Star Decorators is a director-led commercial decorating firm based in Poole, Dorset. We also spray and restore surfaces on site. We work across the South of England, and we travel UK-wide for main contractors.

Live sites have taught us where main contractors need help most. It is rarely the empty floor with nobody in the way. It is the overnight handover when another trade has run late and the store still has to open on time. Late variations are agreed in writing and delivered without delaying handover. That is the work we built the business around.

The directors lead a core team trained at the Dulux Academy. For specialist work we bring in trusted partners. For example, our specialist partner carries out DOFF and TORC cleaning inside the A Star package, working under our RAMS. RAMS are the risk assessments and method statements for each job. Tomas Nejedly, our Managing Director, leads health and safety and signs every one. Pawel Kalisiak is the director who has the final say on quality, and Magdalena Kalisiak runs finance.

In 2026 we have worked on Primark, Tesco and M&S stores for Uplands Retail, R.G. Carter and Morris & Spottiswood. Jobs have run from Aberdare in South Wales to Stevenage and Hammersmith. Some are a single store. Others are a run of stores across a retail estate.
