Cookie policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Before you make a choice
Our site loads Google Tag Manager with Google's advertising and analytics consent settings turned off. Until you click Accept all cookies, Google's tags set no cookies and store nothing on your device. They do send Google basic measurement signals without cookies, such as the page you are on, your browser details and your IP address, and one when you tap our phone, WhatsApp or email links. LinkedIn's tag does not load at all. The same applies if you click Reject optional cookies.
Always on
These keep the site working, so they do not need your consent and you cannot turn them off here.
| Name | Set by | Where it is kept | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
astar-consent-v1 | A Star | Local storage in your browser | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask on every page. | Until you clear your browser data |
astar:loader-seen | A Star | Session storage in your browser | Remembers that you have seen the opening animation during this visit. | Until you close the tab |
Supabase sign-in cookies (names start sb-) | Supabase, for A Star | Cookie on astardecorators.com | Keep our staff signed in to the admin area. Not set for visitors to the public site. | Until the staff member signs out or the sign-in expires |
Only after you click Accept
These are only set after you click Accept all cookies. If you reject them, they are not set.

How long Google and LinkedIn cookies last is as Google and LinkedIn published it on 14 October 2026, and they can change it. See Google's advertising cookies, Google Analytics cookies and LinkedIn's cookie table.
Changing your choice
Use the Cookie settingslink in the footer to reopen the cookie banner. If you withdraw consent, we delete our own advertising items (astar-click-ids-v1 and astar-campaign-attribution-v1), the Google cookies stored under astardecorators.com and Google's _gcl_ls item, and Google's tags stop using cookies. If LinkedIn's tag was running, the page reloads so that it stops.
Cookies kept on google.com, doubleclick.net and linkedin.com belong to those companies, so we cannot delete them from our site. You can clear them in your browser settings. Withdrawing does not remove click codes already attached to enquiries you sent before; our privacy policy explains how to have those erased.
